Hope Among the Ashes

Charlotte and her husband, Steve Gibson, had been residents of Altadena for two decades. In the early morning hours of January 8th, 2025, the Gibsons evacuated their home as the Eaton Fire began to engulf the community. Amid the chaos, Charlotte had no time to gather precious belongings. She soon realized they had left behind the ashes of both her and Steve’s parents. But then came a call from the Alta Heritage Foundation, offering a small but powerful glimpse of hope.
